  • I'm feeling nostalgic.

This is Cambridge in England, United Kingdom. It is where I lived and studied for a month when I was 17 years old.

Cambridge offers a lot of surprises. It has a very interesting and fascinating history. It creates a charm within the ancient buildings and gives a picturesque view of the oldest colleges along the river and city center. It has one of the oldest universities in the United Kingdom. Essentially, its University is the town and the town is the University. But it’s still more than just a University town. It existed even before a group of scholars from Oxford moved there after a dispute with local townsfolk over a killing. That was when a Roman settlement in the early years of Cambridge made the town flourish for centuries.

The city of Cambridge lies at a major crossing of the Granta (known to Saxons) or the River Cam. It owes its location and early importance to the river and became so placed at its present bend in it.

Its university, called University of Cambridge or often Cambridge University, was to develop an influence, which stretched not only through the UK but also throughout the world. The University also prides itself with having more Nobel Laureates (81) than any other university.

Cambridge today wouldn’t be possible without it being founded in c. 1209 because it’s an enchanting place that attracts tourists, workers, students, artists, and many more. It has dominated almost everything in the town itself from different walks of life, levels of social classes, etc

    CAMBRIDGE, England---I miss...

I miss waking up in the morning feeling the spring cold and looking out of my window seeing this neighborhood.

I miss this house when I leave it---UNTIL NOW.

    I miss just walking.

I miss taking British English and History classes under Miss Clare Henderson. I also miss my classmates. I'm look forward to have a reunion with them, soon!

I miss dressing up like this.

I miss shopping in the silent Grafton Centre.

I also miss shopping cheap goods in the Market Hill, City Centre.

I miss the punting and University grounds view.

I miss punting and the feeling of riding it.

Lastly, I miss my home in Cherry Hinton Road and my English Family. I also miss you Sally.

I know I will be back.

  • Happy Christmas and Gossip Girl

Turkey is for Thanksgiving but my family had it for Christmas Dinner. It was my first time to eat such. Now I know why it's very expensive.

I wish you all a Happy CHRISTmas. May the Lord fill your lives with love and graces.

I just finished Gossip Girl Season 2 Episode 13 just 5 minutes ago. I can't wait for the next episode to be aired on January 5, 2009.

    Good Night. :)

  • My Christmas Break so far..

I've been watching the Gossip Girl series the past few weeks and got really into it. I love the twist of the story although I did not really read the book. This Christmas break, I'll just be staying home maybe watching DVD marathons and preparing for my United States Culinary Arts Internship.

B.T.W., Anne from ITN (internship) just called me earlier in the morning on my mobile phone and interviewed me about my preferences for my training. I wasn't even ready because I just woke up at that time. I was able to answer properly though. I told her that I want my internship to take place in any 5-star hotel in New York City. ;)

I'm also very happy because I got into the Dean's List again for this term with a GPA of 3.335. I think it's the best Christmas present for MYSELF.
