    Good Morning Vietnam!

Last March 5-8, 2009, I went to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with my batchmates and professors for a Culinary Tour. All we did was to eat, eat, and eat but even doing so did not make me gain much weight. Why? This is due to the Healthy Vietnamese Diet. There are hardly any obese people in Vietnam and I was amazed by that observation! The people eat lots of greens, vegetables, fish, and other food that wouldn't make them fat.

I had a hard time using the chopsticks but I learned a lot from the four days that I was in Vietnam. I will miss the Yoghurt that I have been eating three-four times in the hotel we stayed. The next time I visit Vietnam, I would like to explore Hanoi in the northern part. I heard it's colder there even though it's almost in line with Hong Kong and Macau.

    On being single.

About 4-5 years ago, I was in a serious relationship. Being in that state was the best thing that has ever happened to me with regard to love life. I sacrificed a lot and gave most of my time to my ex-boyfriend. But it is always expected that every relationship has flaws. One time, BOOM! We were gone.

When it ended, my heart broke into tiny pieces. I was never sure if I'll be whole again as my world revolved only around him. Then it came to a time that I tried out a lot of things, have met new connections and friends, and got much closer to God and my family. Only did I realize that they were the ones who helped me get through the heartbreak and bitterness phase.

I have met some suitors and flings but we never really got serious. As I thought that I had enough, I fully decided to be 'HARDCORE single' until I graduate college. And that's where my path is NOW.

I LOVE BEING SINGLE! Not only because I get to mingle (hahaha ok yes, I do have crushes), but I realized that I discover myself much much more than having to suffer in very long, painful heartbreaks. I can focus with my other activities and studies, spend more quality time with family and friends, and develop my flexible personality. I also realized that I'm a much different or maybe worse person when I'm too much involved with another person. Problems that need not to be solved with him were always my problems which really should just be left behind. Rather than having fun, I have always wasted time with my non-sense problems. Well, my point is that life is too short to be happy and that we still have many things to experience.

In the future, when I have already gained enough maturity, experience, and talent, that would be my time to open my heart (wakey wakey) to someone that deserves me. As for now, I just want to have fun and follow my goals and dreams in life that has unlimited wants and needs (how economics). We can dream high if we want. It's just FREE. :)

Remember, being single is a choice.
